At this week’s 2017 Marketing Outlook Forum Conference, MMGY announced the award recipient of its first-ever Yesawich Award for Marketing Excellence. Jay Kinghorn, associate managing director at the Utah Office of Tourism, proudly accepted this honor for his outstanding marketing strategy, which resulted in superior marketing efforts with significant, measurable results.
This award recognizes an individual marketer whose tireless efforts and effective use of data and research developed an outstanding marketing strategy and program that resulted in inspiring their tourism organization and/or its constituents to change the course of the organization’s marketing focus that then, in turn, resulted in significant increases in measurable results.
The Yesawich Award for Marketing Excellence and the Shifflet Award for Research Excellence are sister awards that were born out of the achievements of Peter Yesawich and Doug Shifflet of MMGY Global, pioneers in travel and tourism marketing and research.
The Shifflet Award for Research Excellence will be announced at TTRA 2018 in June.
